Munukiá
Identity
Dried and preserved flower arrangements
● Dedicated mainly to the handmade creation of arrangements and decoration with dried and preserved flowers since 2020, Munukiá is a brand by architect Matilde Mata. With unique bouquets, window display and event decorations, DIY kits for custom arrangements, Munukiáʼs offering has grown every year and, thanks to collaborations with other small‑scale brands (such as an artisanal soap maker), socially oriented projects, and public and private institutions, it has come to include new products like aroma diffusers, scented candles, and even... workshops. The projectʼs identity was developed in close collaboration with me, from the doubts about the name (a childʼs affectionate expression in the family buried any other alternative) to the choice of typefaces and graphic approach.
● We use scientific engravings/illustrations from herbariums and old botanical treatises, interspersed with my own sketches. On various printed supports, such as postcards and labels, we use biodegradable cotton‑seed paper with embedded seeds.
